Maximo Park Take Over Newcastle on 11th May

3rd Album 'Quicken The Heart' Finally Released
Live Q+A With Fans At Newcastle HMV
Launch Party At Star & Shadow Cinema ('Monument' Film Screening And Live Show)

Read On For Ticket Information...

Ever since it was announced, legions of Maximo Park's loyal fans have waited with bated breath for the release of their hotly anticipated third album Quicken the Heart. And now, with its release date looming tantalizingly close on Monday, May 11 2009, the band have decided to celebrate with a glorious party in their beloved hometown of Newcastle - and everyone's invited.

Already hailed as their most accomplished, most fully-realised work to date, Maximo Park are justifiably proud of their new record and want their fans to experience it for themselves when they hit Newcastle on May 11 for an insanely action packed day. It all kicks off with a live Q & A session and album signing with the band (with free wristbands available from the HMV store on the day from 8.30am, on a first-come-first-served basis*) at HMV Newcastle (Northumberland Street store) at 6pm - a deliciously rare opportunity for the public to get up close and personal with one of the UK's most loved bands. Fans just have to submit questions online to the band's official website (www.maximopark.com) and HMV's www.getcloser.com
