McFly to the woods!

The superb McFly have announced a trio of dates next Summer when they will be performing in fantastic woodland locations as part of the Forestry Commission's annual live music series.

2008 has proved a busy time for the band with a new album Radio:ACTIVE featuring the cracking singles, Lies and One For The Radio and their latest release the double A-side, Do Ya/Stay With Me - the official BBC Children in Need single.

It is less than 5 years since McFly released their debut single, Five Colours In Her Hair. In that time the band have enjoyed a soaraway success, achieving No 1 albums and seven No 1 singles, including Obviously, Baby's Coming Back / Transylvania, All About You / You've Got A Friend, Please Please / Don't Stop Me Now and I'll Be OK. Frontman Tom Fletcher has made chart history having written more number one hits than U2, Queen and Robbie Williams (and all before the age of 21)! Their popularity has also been recognised via numerous awards including a Brit Award for Best Pop Act and Best Live Act at the Virgin Awards.
