McFly Top UK Singles Chart

McFly have knocked Lily Allen off the top spot, having topped the UK singles chart with their Sport Relief charity single Don't Stop Me Now, their cover version of Queen's 1979 hit which has new single Please Please Please as the other A-side.

Lily Allen's single, Smile, dropped to number four after two weeks at the top of the charts, while her new album, Alright Still entered the album chart at number two.

Unfaithful by Rihanna climbed from 16 to number two, while Shakira dropped a place to number three with Hips Don't Lie (although her single remains at the top of the UK singles download chart)

The incredible debut single from James Morrison, You Give Me Something rose to number five and we predict a number one slot for James in the future. Meanwhile Gnarls Barkley's new single, Smiley Faces, went straight in at number ten.

Sandi Thom's I Wish I was a Punk Rocker remains in the top ten but slid down to number eight, and Paolo Nutini's Last Request dropped to number nine, while his album These Streets went straight into the album chart at number three. (Read our interview with Paolo in the interviews section).

Meanwhile Razorlight topped the album chart with their quality self-titled album, knocking Muse and their Black Holes & Revelations down to number five. And The Kooks slipped to four.
