The Essential, a collection of his greatest hits, is currently the number one UK album for a second week. The album Number Ones topped the charts directly after his death.
The highest new entry in the UK album chart this week came from Florence and the Machine, whose debut album Lungs entered the chart at number two. 22 year old Florence Welch won the Critics' Choice award at the BRITs 2009 as well as coming third in the BBC's Sound of 2009 poll. Lungs is the only non-Jackson album within the top five.
The Michael Jackson albums within the top five this week are Off The Wall at number three, Thriller at number four and Michael Jackson and The Jackson Five - The Mowtown Years at number five. The singles and albums sold since Michael Jackson's death now total around 1.5 million with almost 600,000 sales in the past week alone.
As well as dominating the album chart, Michael Jackson continues to dominate the singles chart with 10 Jackson tracks within the UK Top 40.
Cascada held onto their slot at the top of the UK singles chart with Evacuate The Dancefloor. The Euro-dance act also saw their new album of the same name enter the album chart as a new entry at number eight.
La Roux's current single Bulletproof charted at number two while Man In The Mirror by Michael Jackson dropped one place this week to chart at number three. This was followed by Lady GaGa with Paparazzi at four and the former number one from David Guetta featuring Kelly Rowland, When Love Takes Over, which completed the top five.
The highest new entry into the singles chart this week came from Chipmunk and his single Diamond Rings featuring Emeli Sande, which charted at number six.
