Michael Jackson Dominates Charts

Futher Michael Jackson tracks within the UK Top 40 singles chart were as follows: Black Or White at 25, Dirty Diana at 26, They Don't Care About Us at 32, Earth Song at 33, The Way You Make Me Feel at 34, You Are Not Alone at 35, Don't Stop Til You Get Enough at 38 and finally, Bad at 40.

The only accolade he did not acheive this week was the UK Number one single, which instead was won by Euro-pop dance act Cascada with Evacuate The Dancefloor, their first UK number one. This was followed by Michael Jackson at number two with Man In The Mirror, La Roux at number three with Bulletproof, David Guetta ft Kelly Rowland and When Loves Takes Over at number four and Lady GaGa's Paparazzi, which completed the top five.

Though La Roux saw their former number one single Bulletproof chart at number three this week, their self-titled album debuted at number two in the UK album charts. According to the Official Charts Company the album scored the biggest first week sale figures for a debut album so far this year.

Michael Jackson's chart reign is expected to grow futher this week, with his memorial service planned for Tuesday 7th July 2009. More than 1.6m people took part in an online draw to win one of 17,500 tickets available to attend the ceremony being held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.page << 1 2 >>
