My Chemical Romance Stay On Top of UK Chart

US Punk-pop band My Chemical Romance have retained their lead at the top of the UK singles chart for the second week in the row, with their Welcome To The Black Parade single. In the past year, the band have used the internet and their live performances to build up a big fanbase. Meanwhile, The Killers have also kept their position at the top of the UK album chart with Sam's Town, for the third week running.

The highest new entry in the singles chart was Girls Aloud, who's Something Kinda Ooh single went straight in at number five.

Meat Loaf Ft Marion Raven went in at number six with their It's All Coming Back To Me Now single from Bat Out of Hell III.

Other new entries in the top 20 included Jamie T's If You Got The Money single which entered the chart ahead of Beyonce at number 13. Beyonce, grabbed 14th position with her Irreplacable single and Amy Winehouse charted at number 19 with Rehab.

The Pet Shop Boys scored the 40th chart hit of their career with Numb, which went straight in at number 23. Meanwhile Razorlight held on to their position in the singles chart with America at number two while their Razorlight album kept it's place at number three in the album chart. And James Morrison and The Ordinary boys claimed 8th and 10th position in the chart after climbing from number's 20 and 36 respectively.

Scissor Sisters stayed at number two in the album chart with their Ta-Dah album. P Diddy's Press Play album was the highest new entry, at number 11. Patrizio Buanne's Forever Begins Tonight went straight in at number 15 and Badly Drawn Boy's Born In The UK charted at number 17, with Deacon Blue's Singles album following closely behind at 18.
