Nelly Furtado stays on top of the UK singles chart

Nelly Furtado has retained her position at the top of the UK singles chart for a third week with her Maneater single, pipping Shakira's Hips Don't Lie to the post for the top spot. The track is also top of the download singles chart for another week.

Also this week, Muse demonstrated just how supermassive they are with their new single, Supermassive Black Hole going straight in at Number four.

Other front runners include Sergio Mendes and the Black Eyed Peas who's Mas Que Nada rose from 29 to six, and Sandi Thom who fell to number three with I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker, along with The Automatic with the uber-catchy single Monster. The Automatic can also celebrate their new album Not Accepted Anywhere going straight in at Number three in the album chart.

One of the best British bands in existence, Keane, managed to keep their reign at the top of the UK album chart with their new album, Under The Iron Sea. And Fatboy Slim has a new entry at number two with his Greatest Hits album, Why Try Harder.
