One eskimO is a unique creation that combines gorgeous animations with the beautiful songs written and sung by One eskimO.
Produced by Rollo (Faithless), One eskimO are a 4-piece band who's album is uniquely backed up by a series of animations, produced by Passion Pictures, the team behind the Gorillaz. The animations have already won a 2008 British Animation Award - Public Choice Music Video for One eskimO's song 'Hometime'.
Boasting 10 tracks, All Balloons is an album of impressive beauty, heartbreaking vocals and immaculate lyrics that inevitably capture one's imagination. Highlights of the album include first single Kandi, the irresistible Astronauts, the uplifting closing track Amazing, and the stellar new single Hometime.
The story of the eskimO and his band - the giraffe, monkey and penguin is then told across 10 wonderful, mesmerising animated episodes to each of the album's 10 tracks to form a short film about the eskimO and his plight.
Kristian Leontiou explains,
"I really wanted to make a beautiful, peaceful album, like a soundtrack to a film that didn't even exist. There were many stages of evolution and it all sort of grew together. The eskimo represented something quite peaceful, making music in isolation. I was writing about my journey, about life, love, losses and failures, heartbreak and triumph. And along the way I met amazing musicians, who helped bring this music to life".
