Patrick Wolf Raises 100k on Bandstocks

The bandstocks account for Patrick Wolf's fourth album The Bachelor- out now - closed triumphantly with a fund of £100,000, raised by fans and private investors through the highly publicised vehicle: bandstocks.com. A further £20,000 has also been raised through sales of the special limited edition of the album.

A huge success story, both for Patrick and his move to independently release The Bachelor through his own label, Bloody Chamber Music; it is also a celebratory moment for bandstocks.com who have further proved their worth as a new business model within the music industry today.

The method of purchasing £10 'stocks' within the album, both in the UK through Bandstocks and internationally through TWIN (Tribe Wolf International) enabled a global release of the album. Distribution in Europe will come through ADA; via Hostess in Japan, Speak and Spell in Australia and Nylon Records (Red Distribution) in America.

As one of the most anticipated and sought after releases of 2009, featuring collaborations with Eliza Carthy, Thomas Bloch, Alec Empire, Matthew Herbert and Tilda Swinton; reviews indicate that this is shaping up to be Patrick and The Bachelors year.
