Rachel Mari Kimber has carved a growing reputation by way of a string of support slots with Damien Rice, Turin Brakes, Jesse Malin & Stereophonics, storming appearances at the Glastonbury & V Festivals and numerous solo headline shows in the last year or so. Her engaging onstage persona and unusual compositional approach, featuring a selection of open guitar tunings, has held audiences in thrall in venues from her native Wales through to Toronto, Los Angeles and New York. She's also something of a latter-day Renaissance woman; RMK is a skilled racing driver having qualified in the Top 30 for Mazda's Formula Women series from a field of 10,000 entrants, a keen motorcyclist, she recently fulfilled one of her lifetime ambitions to race around Estoril with World Champion Randy Mamola at an average speed of more than 200kph! She is also a talented artist and an inventive chef. This eclectic smorgasbord of unusual influences and interests contributes to the make-up of an artist who is going to be here for the 'Long Haul.'
