The album includes the Arctic Monkey's unique take on Amy Winehouse's modern classic 'You Know I'm No Good' and continues with some of the biggest songs from the last 12 months. New stars like Calvin Harris, Gossip and Mark Ronson make an appearance alongside Kasabian, Natasha Bedingfield and Kings of Leon. The View rattle through their infectious hit 'Same Jeans', Maximo Park tackle The Proclaimer's classic singalong '500 Miles' and Biffy Clyro rock up the pop song of the summer, Rihanna's Umbrella.
The 'Live Lounge' slot on Jo Whiley's daily show on Radio 1 (10am - 12.45pm, Monday to Friday) attracts the biggest and coolest names in music - from pop to rock - hip hop to indie. The show draws in 5.5 million listeners a week and to be asked to perform in the Live Lounge is something all bands aspire to.
Jo's passion and enthusiasm for new music has seen her positioned as one of the most influential people in the music industry. She has successfully immersed herself in both the station's and national conscience as a credible authority on music both on radio and television.
