Reverend And The Makers - Tour July 09

Reverend and the Makers return with their first headlining tour of 2009 with 5 UK shows in July. This will be the first chance to hear new material from their forthcoming second album set for release in the summer. Tickets go on sale 20th March 2009, details below. These shows run alongside 5 summer supergigs from Oasis which the band were specially invited to play.

The band have spent the end of last year and start of this recording the follow up to 2007's top five release The State of Things. The gold album spawned several hit singles including Heavyweight Champion of the World and He Said He Loved Me. The band toured the world for 18 months and performed at Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, T in the Park and various other festivals worldwide.

Lead singer Jon McClure (The Reverend) has also spent time since the last album getting involved with various projects including political forum Instigate Debate and the indie/hip-hop group Mongrel.

The as yet untitled new album is scheduled for release on Wall of Sound, and was recorded again with Jagz Kooner (Primal Scream/Kasabian) and mixed by Dave Sardy (The Ting Tings/Oasis/LCD Soundsystem).
