Meanwhile, in the album chart, Maroon 5 saw their album It Won't Be Soon Before Long knocking Linkin Park off the top spot. Amy Winehouse's Back to Black rose from six to number three, 30 weeks after it was first released, following her recent Ivor Novello award accolade.
Michael Buble's Call Me Irresponsible album was at number four with Mika's album Life in Cartoon Motion climbing back up to number five.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor's Trip the Light Fantastic album view Sophie's driving playlist here was a new entry at seven, while Ozzy Osborne's Black Rain entered the chart at number eight. The Cribs Men's Needs Women's Needs Whatever went in at number 13.
