RockNess 2010 - Vampire Weekend - More Acts
In yet another monster announcement for this years RockNess festival, Vampire Weekend will be the second headliner on Sunday night supporting fellow New Yorkers The Strokes. This not to be missed double of New York's finest will blow Scottish revellers away, closing what is already being touted as the best RockNess yet.
In a move sure to thrill even the most judicious dance and rock fans, Doves, Ian Brown, Soulwax, Enter Shikari and Friendly Fires are also confirmed and join a dazzling proposition of the very finest international electronic talent including The Bloody Beetroots, 2 Many Dj's, Vitalic, Aeroplane, Plan B, Bookashade, The Japanese Popstars, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, Chase & Status, Boys Noize, The Dub Pistols and RockNess favourites The Cuban Brothers.
Another exclusive for the UK, is the appearance of the world's most exclusive DJ collective Club 75. Part Justice, part Cassius, with the very best of the mighty Ed Banger Records thrown in, the all-French star line up is set to deliver what promises to be one of the hottest performances of the entire summer in a stunning UK debut at RockNess.
Bearing testament to the growing popularity of RockNess, BBC Radio 1 is on board as the official radio partner this year and the inimitable Zane Lowe is revealed as the station's latest hottest name set to head north to host an arena alongside Annie Mac and Rob Da Bank.
RockNess 2010 - The Monster Weekend - takes place on Friday 11th - Sunday 13th June 2010 and returns as a three-day event following last year's successful extension to three nights when the Main Stage got the party started on the Friday night for the first time.
