MARS: ilikemusic because... tom kelly is a great producer and Mark Angelo Studios in London is the best place to record your record!US pop group Scissor Sisters have scored a double by topping both the UK album and singles charts. Their I Don't Feel Like Dancin' single stayed at number one for the third week in a row, while their second album, Ta Dah went straight in at number one in the album chart.
In fact, if you count the Download Chart as a seperate chart, they've actually done the triple as they've topped that too! Scissor Sisters are more successful in the UK than in their native US and recently played a charity gig in Trafalgar Square, London, introduced by their good friend, Kylie.
Justin Timberlake's Futuresex/Lovesounds album fell from number one to number three while his single, Sexyback also dropped from number two to three. The Fratellis kept their place at number two with their Costello Music album.
Meanwhile, the only new entries getting into the top 20 of the album chart included Elton John's album, The Captain & The Kid, which went straight in at number six. Star of Rock School's Lil' Chris went in at 19 with his single Checkin' It Out.
In the UK singles chart, following closely behind the Scissor Sisters number one, The Killers rose from number five to secure the number two spot with their When You Were Young single. There was a new entry from Lemar with his It's Not That Easy single entering the chart at number 12 and Janet Jackson & Nelly went straight in at number 19 with Call On Me, their new collaboration.
Other new entries in the UK single chart included Pussycat Dolls with I Don't Need A Man (21), Jet with Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is (23), Zutons with Oh Stacey (Look What You've Done) (24), Automatic with Recover (25) and Lily Allen with LDN (27).
