Having signed to Warner Bros. Records, Seasick Steve is currently recording the follow-up album to his surprise-hit album 'Dog House Music' (fast approaching Gold status) that he recorded in his kitchen and was released in 2006 on the Bronzerat label. 'Dog House Music' earned widespread acclaim and Steve went on to collect Best Breakthrough Act at last year's Mojo Awards.
Seasick Steve has played in Lightnin' Hopkins' and John Lee Hooker's bands, as well as also playing in Modest Mouse's touring line-up. His first album, 'Cheap', was recorded with the Level Devils and released in 2004. Steve subsequently survived a heart attack but recovered to breakthrough with a memorable performance at Jools Holland's Hootennanny New Year's Eve celebration.
