Sigur Rós - European Tour
November 2005

"Some of the new song are so beautiful they snatch the air from your lungs"
Guardian 5/5 July 12, 2005.

Sigur Rós have announced a month long European tour for November, out the back of their just-completed sell-out stint round the continent. The dates will come in the wake of the band's fourth album, 'Takk…' , which is released by new label EMI on Sept 12.

The band are currently in Japan headlining a stage at the Fuji Festival, from where they will be embarking on their first-ever Australian tour, followed by small shows in Honolulu, Hawaii and Los Angeles (the latter of which sold out in one-minute-six-seconds!)

The band then return briefly to their home in Iceland, before going out for a full US tour around the release of 'Takk…'.

Two songs from the album are to be made available as digital downloads ahead of the album's release. In the world outside North America the mighty 'Glosoli' will be released on August 15, while in the USA the equally breathtaking 'Saeglopur' will go up online on the same day.
