The shortlist for the Sony DAB Rising Star Award has been announced at the 27th annual Sony Radio Academy Awards nominations. The nominees include presenters from all across the country on very different stations from The Hits to Kerrang! Radio and Radio Teesdale to XFM and Oxford FM.
Radio stations were invited to enter their promising radio newcomers for the Rising Star award. An independent panel of UK radio broadcasting experts shortlisted the top five, the panel included BBC Radio 1's Colin Murray, renowned radio legend Tony Blackburn and TV personality Danny Wallace.
