Sony Walkman's Spring Fling a delight with Johnny Borrell

Walkman held an event in Shoreditch to launch the NWZ-A820 wireless Bluetooth mp3 player last night (Thursday 10th April 2008)

The event was called Walkman Presents 'Spring Fling' and saw a brand new venue in Shoreditch, East London transformed into a Spring spectacular, with grass carpet, hay bales, a pimped out farmer's truck and even a dancing sheep show who performed with Holly Golightly.

The highlight of the night was Razorlight Johnny Borrell, who headlined the event, replacing Pete Doherty who due to incarceration earlier this week could not attend! Johnny plated an acoustic solo set on guitar, playing a scaled down drum kit with his feet.

In a secret twist to the night, Johnny was joined on stage for a duet by French songstress Soko. The duo, who had rehearsed in secret the same day, played 'Hotel Yorba' by The White Stripes and 'Lousy Weekend' by Daniel Johnston, with Soko taking over drumming duties for her first ever drumming solo!

Other acts on the bill incuded Holly Golightly (who had a troupe of dancing sheep to join on stage and perform the sheep hustle), Rosie Oddie and the Odd Squad, The Horrors (DJ set) and Midnight Jugganauts (DJ set).

In the crowd watching were the full cast of Skins, Kid Harpoon, Har Mar Superstar (who was getting quite friendly with anyone he could!), Percy Parker and Danny Dyer.
