Patience kept it's position at number one in the singles chart for a second week, while their new album, Beautiful World, went straight in at number one in the album chart.
Take That's Gary Barlow said their chart double was "like a fairytale. Totally brilliant."
Westlife's Love Album slipped from number one to number four, as The Beatles fell from three to five with their remastered own Love album. Oasis's Stop The Clocks slipped a place from number two to number three, while Il Divo claimed second place in the album chart with Siempre. U2 also dropped their chart position from four to six with their U218 Singles album.
Katie Price and Peter Andre entered the chart at 20 with their charity album, A Whole New World.
Other new entries in the album chart included G4 at 21 with their Act Three album, Faithless who charted at 30 with their To All New Arrivals album, plus Jay-Z who's first album in three years, Kingdom Come, entered the chart at number 35.
In the UK singles chart, Akon featuring Eminem, kept his place at number two with Smack That. Bootyluv's Boogie 2Nite climbed from number 19 to number three, while Nelly Furtado went straight in at number four. Justin Timberlake's My Love slipped a place to t number five while The Fratellis Whistle For The Choir single climbed from 52 to number nine.
New entries in the singles chart included Muse at number 10 with Knights of Cydonia, Jamelia, who's Beware Of The Dog single entered the chart at number 34, and Lostprophets who's Can't Catch Tomorrow single charted at number 35.
