Bulleit Sessions

The Bulleit Sessions - The Caves in Edinburgh - Thursday 8th May

King Creosote, founder of Fence Records, will headline the night with a very unique and intimate set. He will be performing a selection of songs, old and new - on his own, and with special guests. The alter-ego of Kenny Anderson, King Creosote is undoubtedly Scotland's foremost singersongwriter; a soaring, prolific voice, that - over a 20 year career - has not pandered to trends, but has consistently produced 3-minute lyrical masterpieces. For this special show, fans have the opportunity to request their favourite song from the KC back-catalogue (including his two most-recent, and critically acclaimed releases, KC Rules OK and Bombshell). With over 30 self-released full-length titles on Fence Records alone, there's a hefty batch to pick from! For details on how to make a request, visit www.fencerecords.com

Support comes courtesy of Sheffield skiffle-pop duo, Slow Club. Charles and Rebecca make some of the most beautiful campfire songs we've ever heard, with harmonies that'll break your heart. We've been fans for a few years now - they toured the Highlands with King Creosote in 2006, and we invited the pair to play our Homegame festival in 2007. They've since released a couple of singles through the legendary Moshi Moshi label (Hot Chip, Bloc Party, Kate Nash), and have been feverishly working away on their debut album over the winter. This is the only Scottish show they've got scheduled so far this year ... so don't miss out!
