Here's a woman with a 5 Octave range and huge talent. A triumphant return indeed - her album inched past 50 Cent's, The Massacre to be the best selling album of 2005.
Talking of 50, he was nominated for six grammys, but came away with none. But his album was still second best selling of last year. Coldplay also failed to come away with an award, but performing a knock-out version of Talk on prime time TV they'll not be affected negatively.
After all, David Bowie, who received a Lifetime achievement award, had only previously received one Grammy in his four decade career, and that was for a video, proving that you don't need Grammy's to suceed in the music biz.
Kanye West won best rap song for Diamonds from Sierra Leone and his album Late Registration won the award for best rap album. He also picked up best solo rap performance for the hit Gold Digger.
