The Great Escape 2010 More Acts

The Great Escape

With more than 350 bands set to play in 30+ Brighton venues from May 13th to 15th 2010, the team behind the most prestigious new music festival and Industry conference in Europe, The Great Escape, have been searching high and low, hand-picking even more incredible acts to announce for the landmark fifth annual Brighton based event.

With the likes of Chase & Status, Broken Social Scene and Delphic already announced for this year's festival, The Great Escape are proud to announce that dance-pop trio Chew Lips are set to join the bill. Lauded by the all the tomes in the know for making one of the singles of 2009, the band already has a number of high profile fans, marking them out as ones not to miss. Hailing from the musical hotbed of Athens Georgia, Dead Confederate will be rocking out by the seaside and there will be high octane riff merchants Japanese Voyuers, lofi electronica from Dam Mantle, post-rock glam from Little Death and heads down action from Violent Soho . Plus there will be sets from Anna Calvi, Eskimo Joe, Chateau Marmont, Pony Pony Run Run, Think About Life, Basia Bulat, Gringo Star, Paul Dempsey, Ganglians, John Smith, Kid Bombardos, Ghost Bees, Let's go to War, Young Rival, The Dutchess & The Duke and Philadelphia Grand Jury.

Day tickets for the festival are now on sale. Tickets on Thursday will cost £22.50, Friday tickets are priced at £27.50, and Saturday tickets will be £30.00. In other ticketing news, The Great Escape has set aside a good allocation of space for TGE wristband holders at the Chase and Status show. However, as with all the gigs, entry to it is subject to capacity and so massive fans will be pleased to hear that The Great Escape has also put specific Chase and Status tickets on sale, which will guarantee access to the show. If you've already bought your TGE wristband you can purchase a single Chase & Status gig ticket for £15. And if not you can buy a combined ticket which includes a TGE 3 day festival wristband as well as guaranteed access to the Chase and Status show for £60.

Early bird weekend tickets, that not only get you in to see all the bands but will also get you access to outdoor gigs, afternoon shows, club nights, after parties and much more, are still on sale from www.escapegreat.com for a mere £45.00
