Fresh from scooping the prize for Best Major UK Festival at this year's UK Festival Awards, the Isle of Wight Festival is again set to thrill tens of thousand of fans across the land over 3 days on 13th, 14th & 15th June.
Festival Promoter John Giddings confirmed The Police will headline Sunday night and bring 2008's Festival to a close, "It's a coup to get The Police for the Festival, we're very happy to have the biggest tour of the last two years stopping by the Isle of Wight." The Police will return to Europe in 2008, and the Isle of Wight performance will be the only UK festival show for the trio.
The Police are currently on tour in Central and South America, having already played to more than 1.5 million people. The Billboard Award winning tour will start 2008 with performances in Australia, New Zealand and Japan before arriving in Europe for dates in Denmark, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Norway, Belgium, Germany and the UK.
