Sorrow - at major UK venues early in 2009. S.F. Sorrow, is the missing masterpiece in the great trilogy of seminal '60's psychedelic albums, & was recorded at Abbey Road in 1967 alongside The Beatles masterpiece, Sgt. Sorrow to achieve the recognition it so richly deserves.
Now fully acknowledged as the first ever Rock Opera (& the inspiration for The Who's Tommy which was recorded a full year later) the album has become a mainstay of psychedelic culture, and appears regularly in the "Best 100 albums of all time" charts. It has been a seminal influence on many major artists, ranging from The Who, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, The Lightning Seeds (who had a hit with a cover of the title track), The White Stripes & most recently Noel Gallagher, who recently admitted "nicking" Baron Saturday to re-work for a new song on the current Oasis album……..
