The Prodigy Top UK Album Charts

The Prodigy have stormed straight to the top of the UK album chart with the release of their album Invaders Must Die.

Invaders Must Die, the fifth UK number one album from The Prodigy, has become one of the fastest selling albums of the year, with 100,000 copies sold.

The last four albums from The Prodigy, Music for the Jilted Generation (1994), Fat of the Land (1998), Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned (2001) and Their Law: Greatest Hits (2005) all charted at number one in the UK album charts.

Invaders Must Die took the top spot from Kings Of Leon, with their album Only By The Night now charting at number two. This was followed by previous number one album It's Not Me, It's You by Lily Allen, which charted at number three. Duffy remained at number four in the album chart with Rockferry, while Lady GaGa's The Fame went up two places to chart at number five.

The official number one UK single this week is My Life Would Suck Without You, by Kelly Clarkson, former winner of the US talent show American Idol. The single made an impressive leap to the number one spot, after charting at number 103 last week.

Another jump in the charts was made by Taylor Swift. Her current single Love Story charted at number 22 in last weeks charts but this week sits proudly at number two, followed by Lady GaGa's Poker Face at number three, which also made a jump, having charted at number 15 last week.

Dead and Gone by TI featuring Justin Timberlake leapt from 17 to number four and Lily Allen's former number one single The Fear charted at number five, completing the top five singles this week.
