The Verve And Perry Top The Charts Again

I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry remains at number one in the UK singles chart for the fifth week in a row.

The highest new entry in the singles chart this week came from The Pussycat Dolls with their single When I Grow Up.

The UK singles chart saw little change this week, with only a series of re-shuffling going on amongst the current best sellers. Kid Rock fell two places to number seven with All Summer Long and Noah and The Whale fell down one spot to number ten, completing the top ten download chart this week with their lovely single 5 Years Time.

In the UK album chart The Verve remained at number one with Forth, their first record in more than ten years.

The biggest selling new release in the album chart this week came from teen pop sensation Miley Cyrus. Her album Breakout entered the chart at number ten.

Rihanna moved up six places to number five with her album Good Girl Gone Bad, while Slipknot dropped six places to number eight with All Hope Is Gone.

Aside from the top ten, The Chemical Brothers entered the album chart this week at number 11 with Brotherhood - The Definitive Singles, while Roots Manuva came into the chart at number 22 with his latest album Slime & Reason.
