Jo Whiley: ilikemusic because... It makes me laugh and it makes my cry and it gets me out of a stress if I’m in a stress, and, if I’m in a good place then it will make me in a better place. It’s all about the emotion, it’s all about the feeling where music takes you to and what affect it has on you.

The Westbury's birthday only comes around once a year (surprising that isn't it?) and to celebrate their 2nd birthday in style, they've got a killer line-up. The candle blowing takes place the weekend of Friday 6th and Saturday 7th March and features New Young Pony Club, Ebony Bones, Post War Year, FrankMusik, Rob Da Bank, A Skillz, Mr Thing and lots more! As ever, the entry fee is recession busting as it's free before 8pm, then no more than a fiver after that. And with a late licence until 4am we suggest you clear your diary now! There are even rumours of free drinks and goodies bags given out over the weekend...
The Westbury just keeps getting better and better. Over the past 12 months they have had the likes of Stanton Warriors, Hervé, Foals, DJ Format, Friendly Fires, Plump DJs, Scratch Perverts, DJ Yoda, The Nextmen, Kraack and Smaak, Ali Shaheed Muhammad (Tribe Called Quest), Bonobo, Norman Jay, Guilty Pleasures, Ashley Beedle, Maseo (De La Soul) and Unabombers to name a few... The Westbury is also home to Barry Peters (The Cuban Brothers' alter ego) monthly nostalgic pop night 'Tape The Top 40'.
