Timbaland Retains Number One Spot

Timbaland has retained his position at the top of the UK singles chart with The Way I Are for a second week, a week after ending Rihanna's 10-week reign at number one.

The track features singer Keri Hilson, and is the second number one single for the hip hop producer in six months, having last topped the charts in April with Give It To Me, featuring Nelly Furtado.

Kate Nash's Foundations also retained it's position at number two, as her new album, Made Of Bricks, was brought forward and rush released on August 6th. Fergie's Big Girls Don't Cry single climbed a place to number three, while Rihanna was at number four. New in at five is Robyn featuring Kleerup with the With Every Heartbeat single. Hans Zimmer's Spider Pig - taken from the soundtrack of The Simpsons Movie - climbed a massive 82 places to 24.

Meanwhile, in the UK album charts, Paul Potts, winner of Britain's Got Talent kept his position at the top with his number one album, One Chance. Amy Macdonald's This Is The Life album charted at number two while Newton Faulkner's Hand Built By Robots album entered the chart at three. Shock Value, Timbaland's album, slipped from two to number four, while Prince's Ultimate compilation album entered the chart at number six.
