From town-to-town, city-to-city across the UK, radio stations will be urging listeners to vote for their favourite artists, organising live sessions and linking up with concerts and gigs in their area to give away fantastic prizes. British artists are working with their local radio stations to get involved with UK Music Week and offer listeners unique experiences.
UK Music Week follows hard on the heels of the huge success of UKRadioAid and Live8 - events that have demonstrated the collaborative power of Commercial Radio to reach over 47 million listeners across the UK.
Following UK Music Week, details will be announced for a new grass roots initiative to encourage the development of the next generation of UK talent.
"This is the biggest and most audacious project that a unified commercial radio has ever undertaken; it is a testament to the power of commercial radio and the talent that works in this industry, that we have put together something so exciting, and so relevant to each station's listeners"
