Uncle Frank - Ideal Food For Love
Imagine the music from the Jungle Book blended with Barry White's lush soul vibe and, let me see, a touch of Benny Hill and, not forgetting, some genius songwriting a la Burt Bacharach... the ideal food for love, and that's Uncle Frank.
Uncle Frank is the cult offshoot project fronted by the FUN LOVIN' CRIMINALS drum maestro and beefy singer Frank Benbini. "It's technicolour, meant to make you smile. It's light-hearted, soulful, Disney tunes, tongue-in-cheek," says Frank.
Sean Penn is a fan, as are we! So... The story thus far....
Stumbling upon a mysterious crossroads off the A36 , Frank unwittingly gave away his 2 for 1 meal deal voucher to a complete stranger... Drowning his sorrows in a nearby tavern he discovered young Blue Steel (playing eukele to pay his way through plumbing school).
Frank and Blue Steel struck a formidable musical friendship, in a bid, to retrieve that voucher (which did include a 20% discount off an ice cream desert). And so the Uncle Frank Show was born.
