Murron :): ilikemusic becuase... ITS FRIGGIN AWESOME!! I mean, who can live without music?!
ashutosh: ilikemusic because... whatever journey you're on, you need a sountrack.
Jo Whiley: ilikemusic because... It makes me laugh and it makes my cry and it gets me out of a stress if I’m in a stress, and, if I’m in a good place then it will make me in a better place. It’s all about the emotion, it’s all about the feeling where music takes you to and what affect it has on you.
Tom Baxter: ilikemusic because... It makes you feel alive more than anything else.
simon f baker: ilikemusic because... you can transcend the confines of the material world with it, it's probably better than shagging in fact. There is virtually nothing more satisfying than when a load of chords and words suddenly come together into a song ; suddenly everything in life seems to fit and make sense once more.
dj tie one: ilikemusic because... its like cornflakes in the morning
Desyn Masiello: ilikemusic because... It saved my life!
Just Jack: ilikemusic because... I can’t explain why I like music!
FRANKYNERO: ilikemusic because... its the only way i can really express myselfAnother August weekend, another festival, and this time it was V Festival. The 11th annual event is held at two sites, Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire, and with 80 bands across six arenas, plus some mud and soggy campers for good measure, V Festival 2006 didn't disappoint. More than 130,000 festival-goers braved the weather to see the likes of Razorlight, Keane, Paul Weller and Radiohead.
One of the best organised festivals, V had all genres covered, indie, rock, dance, hip hop, easy listening, jazz, folk and pop... it's all there. And you can find some hidden treats too. For example, one of the highlights on on Saturday at Chelmsford were unsigned band, The Maze, who I Like Music chief deemed as "best in show" with their impressive indie sound. They featured on Cue Music's unsigned bands stage and are definitely one to watch. Meanwhile Orson and The Cardigans had the crowd singing in unison. The glorious Keane were fantastic as-always, belting out epic tracks from both albums with incredible energy. No wonder Tom's exhausted and having to cancel their forthcoming Edinburgh date.
