The original purpose of 'Search for A Star' was very simply to provide a creative alternative to the limited and basic parameters set by the more mainstream talent shows. These were usually just 'singing competitions' or a demeaning exercise in basic public humiliation. Not really very helpful to anyone.
So I think that the original aim of 'Search for a Star', of allowing people to set the parameters of 'talent' themselves, has been achieved and much, much more. Gorillaz wish each and every entrant all the success and fortune for any of their future ambitions."

SEARCH FOR A STAR TALENT COMPETITION LAUNCH
Noodle is back. The Gorillaz guitarist has returned to Kong Studios from Japan, and the others, Murdoc, 2D and Russel , are on their way. Having learnt the truth of her past, and now speaking fluent English she has written a new album for her band.
On her return to Kong Studios, Noodle has discovered the building awash with the diseased, walking undead. Mindless automatons whose brains have turned to putrefying liquid. What could have caused the dead to live again? With her new-found skills of translation, Noodle set out to find the cause of this sickness. Studying the multiple TV screens of Kong Studios... the evidence speaks for itself... a connection?
