· 'American Idiot' has sold 5.5-million copies to date worldwide and is now three times Platinum in the UK.

· The album has topped the charts in both the UK and the US as well as many other territories around the world.

· 'American Idiot' topped the album chart in its week of release in August and returned to the top in January sixteen weeks later.

· The album contains Green Day's two biggest singles to date in the shape of the title-track (#3) and 'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams' (#5). 'Holiday' will be the next single release on March 14th.

· Green Day received nominations in the two most prestigious categories of the 47th Annual Grammy Awards with Record Of The Year (for the track 'American Idiot') and Album Of The Year (for the album of the same name). They are also in contention for the awards for Best Rock Song, Best Rock Album, Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal, Producer Of The Year (Rob Cavallo) and Best Short Form Music Video (directed by Samuel Bayer and produced by Tim Lynch).

· The band headlined last summer's Reading and Leeds festivals. The Milton Keynes shows will be the biggest that the band have ever played in the UK.
