· 'American Idiot' has sold 5.5-million copies to date worldwide and is now three times Platinum in the UK.
· The album has topped the charts in both the UK and the US as well as many other territories around the world.
· 'American Idiot' topped the album chart in its week of release in August and returned to the top in January sixteen weeks later.
· The album contains Green Day's two biggest singles to date in the shape of the title-track (#3) and 'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams' (#5). 'Holiday' will be the next single release on March 14th.
· Green Day received nominations in the two most prestigious categories of the 47th Annual Grammy Awards with Record Of The Year (for the track 'American Idiot') and Album Of The Year (for the album of the same name).
