matter Announce Line Up

Hopefully you will have heard there's a new groundbreaking venue housed within London's O2 named matter. It's a purpose built space that has been designed with the sole purpose of creating the most vivid and palpable audio, visual and kinaesthetic experience imaginable: a bespoke three floor, 32,737 sq.ft, 2,600 capacity venue, that comes complete with body kinetic dancefloor and 360 degree visuals that is set to stir London's nightlife.

19th September 2008 will see matter open its doors to the public for the first time for matter's Live Launch. matter are delighted to announce that the creative ingenuity of James Lavelle and Pablo Clements aka UNKLE (live) will be kicking off proceedings in their own inimitable style. Support comes in the shape of infectious melodies and electronic frenetic refrain from Late of the Pier and the buzz-worthy sound of Mercury Records' scene-shakers Iglu & Hartley. The following night is matter's Club Launch with one of the most seminal names in clubland, Carl Cox.

Following a visit by Reverend and The Makers (26th Sept), matter is overjoyed to host ace promoters Deadly People. Following a succession of heroic parties globally, they've come back home to stage This Is Not London, a festival that aims to celebrate the diversity of London by handing over the reins to the most ebullient, visionary and acclaimed acts and/or labels in the world. The brilliant Simian Mobile Disco get the TINL show on the road, a fortnight later Armand Van Helden and the crew at Southern Fried Records will be writing another page in the hedonist's handbook.
