
Every week sees a flood of new music arrive in the shops, both online and on the highstreet. Some of it we've been waiting to get our hands on forever, some we've hardly even heard of, and all of it is just waiting to find its way onto our mp3 players and CD racks. But with so much coming out each week it can be hard to keep track of what's new, so we do it for you, presenting 20 of the most significant new releases in one easy-to-listen-to playlist.

1. Blood Red Shoes - In Time To Voices
Brighton's boy-girl rock duo release the title track from their third album. The track nearly got discarded as soon as it was written, and it features the first ever guitar solo that the pair have recorded.
2. Bondax - Baby I Got That
Teenage duo Bondax release their debut single Baby I Got That, which is likely to propel them out of Lancastrian bedroom anonymity and onto the big stage. Smooth R&B vibes with updated garage beats. Future-garage/post-dubstep/whatever the hell you want to call it.
3. Dinosaur Jr - Watch The Corners
Kings of the early '90s slacker rock scene, Dinosaur Jr are still capable of churning out bittersweet guitar pop twenty years on, which is exactly what they do with new single Watch The Corners.
4. Feeder - Idaho
Business as usual for Grant Nicholas and crew as Feeder's latest single Idaho combines crunching guitars with singalong pop vocals.
5. Friends - I'm His Girl
Brooklyn's biggest buzz band of recent months re-release the single that first saw their name broadcast across the world back in 2011: I'm His Girl.
6. fun. - Some Nights
Following the runaway success of their hit We Are Young was never going to be an easy task, but fun. rise to the challenge admirably with Some Nights, the title track from their second album.
7. Labrinth - Treatment
Syco's primary production guru Labrinth turns in yet another polished modern pop hit with Treatment, bound to make Simon Cowell weep with joy as it scales the charts in coming weeks.
8. Race Horses - My Year Abroad
Aberystwyth's Race Horses channel the sound and spirit of New Order, the Pet Shop Boys and The Cure with My Year Abroad, the new single from their forthcoming album Furniture.
9. The Hives - Wait A Minute
Swedish band The Hives demand a moment of your patience with their new single Wait A Minute, a typically angular yet compulsively catchy cut of garage rock.
10. The Shins - It's Only Life
The latest single from The Shins' fourth album Port Of Morrow is indie-pop at its most gentle and wistful. Lighters in the air and hankies at the ready.
11. The View - The Clock
Dundee miscreants The View rein it in a bit on their slower-paced new single The Clock, an uncommonly relflective piece of indie-pop that echoes with Johnny Marr-style guitar.
12. White Rabbits - I'm Not Me
Taken from their third album Milk Famous, I'm Not Me is the jagged new single from American indie boys White Rabbits.
13. Zedd - Spectrum feat Matthew Koma
Electro-producer Zedd offers up a series of big beats, hyperactive toplines and hefty drops as Matthew Koma sings a melancholy refrain over the top on new single Spectrum.

14. Alanis Morissette - Havoc And Bright Lights

Canada's first lady of pop-come-alt-rock, Alanis Morissette returns with her eighth album Havoc And Bright Lights, four years after her last outing.
15. Elbow - Dead In The Boot
Featured track: Whisper Grass
Confirmed national treasures Elbow bridge the gap between studio albums with a collection of b-sides and hard-to-find non-album tracks: Dead In The Boot.
16. Matthew Dear - Beams
Featured track: Her Fantasy
American DJ and indie-electronica producer Matthew Dear releases Beams, a warmer, more upbeat follow-up to his 2010 album Black City.
17. Noisettes - Contact
Featured track: I Want You Back
Shingai Shoniwa and her gang are back with their third album, an eclectic mixture of styles tied together by a succession of irrepressible pop choruses.
18. Of Monsters And Men - My Head Is An Animal
Featured track: Little Talks
Chirpy Icelandic indie/folk band release their debut album My Head Is An Animal, peppered with horn sections, accordians and other unusual instruments across the course of their jaunty tunes.
19. Paul Cook & The Chronicles - Volume One
Featured track: Six Places
Paul Cook creates rootsy folk music with tight vocal harmonies, melancholy atmospherics and plenty of acoustic instruments on his debut album Volume One.
20. Wot Gorilla? - Kebnekaise

Schizophrenic prog-rock/math-pop is the order of the day on Kebnekaise, the debut album from Wot Gorilla?, whose restless sound recalls Vertigo Of Bliss era Biffy Clyro.
