After redefining the electronic live experience last year with his ISAM live show, Amon Tobin arrives in London on Friday 8th March for a one time performance of ISAM Live 2.0.
The show is an evolution of ISAM - "Bigger, louder and more spectacular than ever. With a structure twice the size of its prior incarnation and new visuals." The performance will also feature a more beat heavy soundtrack, lifting brutal and bass heavy tracks from Amon's Two Fingers side project.
The show follows the release of his seventh studio album of the same name, an intense electronic expanse which saw Amon create sounds by synthesising field recordings and turning them into playable instruments. During an in-depth interview with Amon about the album and his music, he explained to us how ISAM grew from previous album Foley Room;
"In Foley Room it was about treating all the sounds I found as potentially musical, musically relevant. So you know, a chair or whatever could be treated objectively as musically useful in some way. That’s kind of where I left off. ISAM was about asking “can I take these things and turn them into playable instruments? Instead of just having them as building blocks. Could I go a bit further into controlling them and apply a more personal expression to them?"
ISAM Live 2.0 will come to the UK for one night only.
