Gathered by Damon Albarn, the collective of producers that make up DRC Music recently visited the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to produce a new album for Oxfam in five days. T-E-E-D (Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs), Dan The Automator, Jneiro Jarel, Richard Russell, Actress, Marc Antoine, Alwest, Rodaidh McDonald, Kwes and over 50 Congolese musicians came together to create Kinshasa One Two, available now for download and released on CD and LP on 7th November 2011.
All proceeds from the album will go to Oxfam's work in the Democratic Republic of Congo which after years of conflict, is home to one of the world's worst humanitarian crises.
Shot in the DRC by Hardy Blechman, Hallo is the opening track from the album.
