LISTEN: Famy - Mother Benita

Much talked-about new indie-folk band Famy - formerly Family - are set to release their debut single on December 5th. Dogg Dogg/Mother Benita will be released digitally and as a 12" single, and Dogg Dogg features a guest appearance by Evans Kati, guitarist of one of the past year's biggest buzz bands; WU LYF, with whom Famy have been touring in recent months.

You can hear b-side Mother Benita below, which is a good example of the band's combination of tight, folky vocal harmonies (there's more than a hint of Fleet Foxes to them) and careful, expressive instrumentation.
