Ghostpoet, Art Brut and The Skints among first acts for Farmfestival 2013

Ghostpoet, Art Brut and The Skints are among the first acts announced for Somerset's Farmfestival, set to take place from Friday 26th – Saturday 27th July 2013 at Gilcolme Farm, Bruton, Somerset.

Other acts confirmed for Farmfestival 2013 include DJ Die, Reeps One, Son of Dave, Typesun, Mt Wolf, Nimmo & The Gauntletts, DJ Woody, Leftside Wobble, Laidblak and The Fire Beneath the Sea.

Retaining a sponsor free, lo-fi DIY ethic, tickets for the weekend (including free camping and parking) costs just £50, with profits donated to charities Practical Action, Somerset and Dorset Air Ambulance and The British Stammering Association.

Founded in 2006 by a small group of friends, Farmfestival is an intimate (and cost-effective) summer festival. With excellent music programming (past acts include Friendly Fires, Egyptian Hip Hop, Submotion Orchestra and Man Like Me), local fare, organic Somerset ciders and ales, plenty of children's activities, the inaugural Farmfestival Olympics and a compulsory instruction to wear a hat (best hats win free tickets to the festival the following year) attendees have grown organically through word of mouth, from an initial 400 to its capped 4500 capacity.
