Ned Younger is Monument Valley, and Tongues is his debut EP of reflective, guitar-led indie-pop. Inspired by a collection of photographs of strangers that Younger accumulated from a variety of car-boot sales and markets, each of the four songs narrates the imagined back-story to one of those photographs.
Tongues is released by Tritone/PIAS UK Records, and will be accompanied by a book containing the songs' lyrics, the photographs that inspired them, and a series of illustrations by the artist Mikey Smith. Take a listen below.
