Plan B has today announced details of a new album and film, both sharing the same title, iLL Manors.
The record will be released on 7th May 2012 via Atlantic Records, while the accompanying full length motion picture will be released on 4th May 2012. The film has been written and directed by Plan B.
iLL Manors will be the third record from Plan B, following his platinum selling 2010 album The Defamation of Strickland Banks, which saw Plan B take on blue-eyed soul and soar playlists up down the country with tracks including Stay Too Long, She Said and Prayin'.
Speaking of his new album Plan B (aka Ben Drew) commented:
'You could call iLL Manors bass-line, soul, hip-hop. The album has the lyrical depth of my first record but the musical composition is light years ahead as it's informed by everything I've learnt in the last five years - writing, producing and playing with a live band. I feel I'm better than I've ever been.’
Plan B is set to play the following dates in June, 2012:
15/06 Thetford Forest, High Lodge Visitor Centre
16/06 Notts, Sherwood Pines
22/06 Kent, Bedgebury Pinetum
23/06 Westonbirt, Westonbirt Arboretum
29/06 Staffordshire, Cannock Chase Forest
