Reading & Leeds Festivals will offer an apprenticeship and internship scheme in 2012.

Two 12-month apprenticeships will be offered - one for each of the festivals - along with a further ten internships of up to three weeks. Placements will be created within all parts of the Festival Republic (organisers of Reading & Leeds) team, including Production, Artist Liaison, Sponsorship, PR, Marketing, Digital/Social Media, Ticketing, Sustainability, On site at Reading, On site at Leeds, and also with associated companies such as Scream PR (broadcast PR agency for the festival) and Hall or Nothing (print and online PR agency for the festival).

Basic expenses will be paid, and the positions will be located in London and on-site in Reading and Leeds. Applicants should be between 18 and 25, and will need to compose a letter of up to 500 words explaining why they should be considered for the post. More information will be available from the festival website when it launches on March 12th.

Meanwhile, the initial line-up of this year's festivals, taking place on August 24th-26th, will be announced on March 12th at 7.15pm, at which point tickets will go on sale. Payment plans will be available to ticket-buyers, allowing them to pay in two or four instalments.
