The Stone Roses have confirmed they will headline the Isle of Wight Festival exclusively in 2013.
Set to play the Isle of Wight Main Stage on Friday 14th June, Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani and Reni follow their 2012 re-union and string of sold out shows with just one festival date for 2013.
IOW Festival promoter John Giddings said of the news: “When you talk about the soundtrack of our lives, The Stone Roses are embedded in it. I am so proud to get them to our island- they will kick the weekend off with a bang.”
The Stone Roses follow in the footsteps of 2012 headliners Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Pearl Jam, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

The Isle of Wight Festival takes place 13th – 16th June, Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight.
