The Mars Volta , everybody's favourite psychedelic prog-rock maniacs, have announced a new album. Noctourniquet will be released through Warner on March 26th, is thirteen tracks in length, and continues the band's tradition of presenting a narrative journey over the course of an album. This time Bixler-Zavala's lyrical inspiration comes from the Greek myth of Hyacinthus, the '80s UK rock band The Godfathers, and comic-book character Solomon Grundy: Superman's nemesis.
Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala may have reunited their former musical project At The Drive-In, but the Volta lives on. Find out more at www.themarsvolta.com.
