Called up by Mark Ronson with an offer to front his touring band The Version Players while she was still studying at The Brit School, South London singer Tawiah is now ready to launch her solo career.
Rich soul bleeding through emotional lyrics across a deep rumbling beat, TEARdrop is our first taste of material from Tawiah from the forthcoming FREEdom Drop release.
Working with producer Jodi Milliner Tawiah's independently financed debut EP In Jodi's Bedroom became an underground hit before winning Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Award for Best Newcomer.
With Corinne Bailey Rae, Cee Lo Green and The Guillemots also amongst her many fans, Tawiah is currently working on her anticipated debut album.
