Ciarran, The Feeling: ilikemusic because... I find it constantly inspiring and it’s a joy to listen to and a joy to play; it really is a huge part of my life.
Newton Faulkner: ilikemusic because... I’m absolutely rubbish at everything else.
Peter Cincotti: ilikemusic because... Of what the world would be without it. It’d be a very scary place. I think we’d all be screwed.
Robyn: ilikemusic because... It’s the way I want to express myself. It’s not a choice. It’s just always been there. It’s just what I do.
leah + melissa: ilikemusic because... its sick
Tom Baxter: ilikemusic because... It makes you feel alive more than anything else.
Cesar Sangwa: ilikemusic because... it's there for me through thick and thin, highs and lows. I think about it when I wake up, and when I close my eyes to sleep. I like music because I'm in love with it!
dawn Leonetti: ilikemusic because... it makes me spin, giggle and bubble up - kinda my own Rice Crispies cereal ("snap, crackle, pop") in the audio form...
Jun: ilikemusic because... music can convey a mood, enhance a mood or change a mood. Music can be used to inspire and the artform is simple yet complicated. It's fun to listen to and even more fun to create and perform. It speaks when just a simple word can't. It's a blessing!!
Pharell of The Neptunes (N.E.R.D) has been instrumental in helping Justin Timberlake produce some knock-out hits, and recently collaborated with Snoop Dogg and Jay Z. He was at the Brits to support JT and enjoy the champagne. But the Brits 2004 King of Bling had to be the almighty 50-Cent, who arrived with the biggest entourage, including G-Unit.
50 picked up a gong for Best International Breakthrough, having lost out to Justin Timberlake for the award for Best International Male and Best International Album. Justin told the audience: "It's a fancy award. My first Brit - I'm honoured." And he joked, "Stick with me, there's depression and drug addiction to get through yet." Justin is set to star in a movie called Edison, with LL Cool J about a journalist who uncovers a den of corrupt cops, and was pleased to have received two Brit awards before launching his acting career. 50 Cent also got in some acting practice when, to introduce 50 Cent on stage, a spoof video of the time he was detained by customs officials at Heathrow was played out, before he, Lloyd and the G-Unit posse ran through the crowd (away from the cops in the video) and on stage to perform the huge, In Da Club.
