Brit Awards Review 2004

*Jamie Cullum and Katie Mellua's fantastic performance of The Cure's Love Cats, which got both solo artists some famous fans. Pharrell is reported to have asked Jamie to work with him, and Jamie said he discovered he had lots in common with people, including Pharrell. So watch this space for news of a collaboration.

*Duran Duran's performance of a medley of their finest hits, including Hungry Like A Wolf, and Ordinary World - a marvellous trip down memory lane. The band had earlier collected their award for Outstanding Contribution to Music from Justin Timberlake, who had rightly pointed out that everyone in the building had probably been a Duran Duran fan at some point.

And as the stars headed off to their After Show parties, no doubt a little the worse for wear with booze back on the Brits menu, we were all left wondering how on earth they're going to top this, the Best Brit Awards yet?
