At ilikemusic.com we're massive Madonna fans (since her Get Into The Groove days) and love the remixes. The rap comes out best in the Missy remix, she knows how to cut it in the hip hop genre. And the album is a truly personal flavour of where Madonna is in her life now and her critics should remember that this is Madonna - she never stands still musically, she evolves and stays with the times. Highly recommended!Recorded over a full year in London and Los Angeles, American Life, Madonna's tenth studio album, features eleven new compositions including the title track and debut single.
"All of these songs reflect my current state of mind. I feel like I have just woken up out of a dream. They range from dismay and anger to joy and certainty," says Madonna.
Madonna wrote and produced her new album with Mirwais Ahmadzai, with whom she also collaborated on her previous release Music. American Life includes the title track as well as the following songs: 'Hollywood', 'I'm So Stupid', 'Love Profusion', 'Nobody Knows Me', 'Nothing Fails', 'Intervention','X-Static Process', 'Mother & Father', 'Easy Ride' and 'Die Another Day'. One of the most original and innovative artists of the modern era, Madonna has sold hundreds of millions of albums, topped charts across two decades, created an enormously influential body of work in both video and film and stood at the forefront of socially conscious artists worldwide.
